Preserving natural lands and historic heritage

Heritage Conservancy is a community-based organization dedicated to preserving and protecting significant open spaces, natural resources, and historic heritage in Pennsylvania’s Bucks and Montgomery counties. The Conservancy firmly believes that everyone is responsible for stewardship, and seeks to enlighten, engage, and empower others to help achieve this vision.

Heritage Conservancy has facilitated the preservation of over 15,000 acres of open space, farmland, wildlife habitat, and major watershed areas. The organization also includes over 600 structures on its Register of Historic Places, recognizing the historic and architectural integrity of structures intrinsic to the region.

Heritage Conservancy is headquartered at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, a historically significant building that now serves as an excellent example of “adaptive reuse,” the practice of retrofitting historic structures to give them new life and new purpose in the modern world. Aldie Mansion also serves as office space for several small businesses, and in partnership with Jeffrey A. Miller Catering it is also one for the area’s premier event venues ideal for weddings, parties, conferences, and other gathering.

Heritage Conservancy’s accreditation by the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission attests to its commitment to promoting best practices in modern conservation policy.
